INTIMACY IN MARRIAGE

Intimacy can be defined as a close relationship between two people; the closeness could be between a man and a woman or vice versa. But our focus is on intimacy between a husband and wife.  Intimacy in marriage could be said to be a major ingredient in solidifying a marriage, it is the anchor in which marriage is berthed. A marriage can only be said to be fruitful and sweet when this basic ingredient called intimacy is added to the union.

When there is intimacy in marriage, the benefits are overwhelming. But it is unfortunate that many do not know how to create this harmonious condition that can bring this condition. In my own experience, i have discovered that the following activities can bring intimacy in marriage.

1. Telling your partner the truth in all things can help bring close intimacy in marriage, telling the truth to your mate can bring the best out of your mate. There will be absolute trust and reliability between the two partners. Flattering a partner to make him or her feel right is deceit in the highest order. When you see anything going wrong just voice it out undermining the immediate consequence which will wear out in due course. Truth is absolute with sure foundation.
2. Discussing issues together bring closeness to partners. When partners discuss issues together, whether personal or general there is a kind of harmony that comes into the marriage. No issue should be considered too personal in marriage, when a partner start seeing issues as personal, that person wants to create a problem in the marriage. All issues must be presented for solution to be proffered.
3. Couples should always make time, to go out together for dinner or for any other recreational activities, this action can bring inner joy to the couples especially the women, it increases the level of trust and intimacy in a marriage.

When there is close intimacy in marriage, there is joy unlimited and such marriage can not be easily penetrated by a third party and marriage destroyers.
